Malissa Whitehouse - Director Malissa Whitehouse has over 13 years of experience working within the media industry for MTV/Viacom & assistant to the Head of Programmes for Capital Radio-London. Her roles have been varied and covered all areas of Media including TV, Film and Radio. Dealing with senior industry executives and famous artists such as Craig David, Travis, George Michael, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Chris Tarrant on a daily basis as well as event management for Party in the Park for the Princes Trust and award ceremonies for key Top 40 artists. In 2002 she helped the UK’s most influential Music Business Executive Richard Park (from BBC 1 Fame Academy) to launch his media business TRPC. Malissa has worked on a variety of major press campaigns for the Daily Express Newsgroup in conjunction with OK magazine with CD give-aways and promotions for artists such as Sir Elton John and other Universal artists. As a successful singer songwriter in her teen years her ambition was always to launch a business to develop new UK talent and with Pop Sessions & Cream Productions now on the scene this will give more UK artists the chance of achieving their dreams. Tony Matthew - Creative Director Tony acquired extensive training at Soul II Soul’s exclusive Recording Studios in Camden, North London, after joining them in 1991. As an ex School of Audio graduate, he progressed from assisting to mixing tracks for the Studio’s Pop Group owners as well as numerous other major selling artists and became their salient in-house Engineer and Programmer during that time. After seven years with Soul II Soul on numerous tours and chart success Tony went freelance in 1998 and primarily worked from Britannia Row Studios, previously owned by the legendary Group Deep Purple. The studio has subsequently been acquired by its new owners, Producer Jamie Lane (Tina Turner, Dire Straits, 10cc) and his business partner Kate Koumi (ex- A&R for Polydor records /APRS). As well as working with numerous major multi-platinum selling Artists in the UK, freelancing in major Recording Studios such as Metropolis, Roundhouse, Strongrooms and The Hit Factory, to name but a few, Tony has also worked in the U.S.A and as far a field as Japan. He holds an amazing Discography of Artists he has worked alongside, either through Assisting / Recording / Mixing or Remixing, including a diverse list such as Whitney Houston, James Brown, through to Jamelia and Kylie Minogue. Richard Pascoe - Music Consultant Richard Pascoe has over 20 years in the business working within the International A&R, Marketing and Management fields. Richards career started at Rondor Music International, London, New York and Los Angeles where he was appointed as the International A&R Manager for Pop/Urban Music. His job was to Sign and manage writers, producers and singers in the ‘Urban/Pop’ music field. Richard’s expertise has bought us a variety of celebrities to the charts. He has successfully broken records by acts such as J-Lo and Janet Jackson and signed top songwriters who have had 30 Number One hits with Blue, Emma Bunton and Westlife. Richard’s career has covered a variety of areas in the music business from A&R, Management, Artists development, Press and TV and now as a key industry consultant to Pop Sessions this definitely is the man to learn from if you want to break in to the music industry. A&R/Publishing BSG Music First (Publishing) Ltd was established in 2000 as an independent label and secured a lucrative pressing and distribution deal with a major corporation outlet, Universal Music Group in January 2002. Since this period BSG Music has worked with both major and independent label artists, musicians, and companies such as Keith Richards [Rolling Stones], Eric Clapton, Sting, Elton John, Bobby Womack [Womack and Womack], Bruce Willis [Die Hard], Oasis, Neville Brothers [Aaron & Ivan Neville], Sheila Ferguson [3 Degrees], Channel 4, Endemol, Coca Cola Group, and Diageo to name a few. Director Junior Brown has had a vast amount of successes in the music industry with many chart entries worldwide and possesses an extensive knowledge of the music industry. Brown has worked independently within the music industry for nearly 20 years. An accomplished engineer, producer, programmer and musician he has worked with Soul 2 Soul, Roachford, Oasis, and Love Station. Business associate Lloyd Garrett is also an experienced A & R executive working with successful companies such as Sting, Eric Clapton, All Saints, and Pennies Management under the directorship of Graeme Perkins and Richard Niles (Pet Shop Boys, Boyzone, and Channel 4). Songwriting Team Alex Brown Alex is a Sony/BMG signed songwriter/producer. He thinks that versatility and originality are key in the business so he tries to push the boundaries with any artist he works with. Alex has been in the business for over 10 years and has worked with and written for such artists as, Beyonce, JLo, Kylie and the Sugababes to name but a few. Always keen to be fresh, be it Pop, Dance or R&B. Nicole Formescu Nicole penned the Hit Single “ If You Come Back” for boy band “BLUE”, which Went to No1 in the UK and worldwide and Co-wrote “Long Time” from the bands 1st Album” ALL RISE” which was also a No1 Selling Album worldwide. Jack Ross- Session Musician Support Jack Ross graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire in 2001, and has since been based in London. He works as a session musician, performs as a guitarist and drummer, and writes and records with various Top 40 producers. Jack regularly performs as a solo guitarist; in duo's and ensembles with vocalists such as Heather Parks (Stush Music NYC) and Roselie Niclasson; as a guitarist, percussionist and composer with the group Acoustic Cuts Experiment (philosophy records) recently composing music for the Channel 4 documentary “Remembering Mum”; in the experimental ensemble fullfathomfive; and as the drummer with the rock group Great Bear (onto the tracks). Jack has performed with Marianne Faithful (Decca records) at Salisbury Festival; with John Surman (ECM), Sinfonia Viva and the National Forest Children’s Chorus at Lichfield festival; at the National Rock and Pop Festival, Symphony Hall, Birmingham; at the new Wembley Stadium, as well as many major venues and festivals nationwide.
